A must read for wives/partners of crossdressers
I learned about my husband's crossdressing 15 years after our marriage and was devastated! I knew that I loved this man but was fearful of what would happen next. Did he want to become a woman! Was he gay? I sought counseling and was given the book, My Husband Wears My Clothes, by Dr. Peggy Rudd. Dr. Rudd, who also is the wife of a crossdresser, should be nominated for sainthood. Reading this book, which presents the bad with the good, helped saved my sanity and my marriage. I love my husband no matter what he wears - if he would only let me borrow that cute dress which is his/her favorite dress. Betty B.

Understanding crossdressing may help build a better society
I have read the beautiful book by Peggy Rudd and I find it is a very important treatise on the subject of crossdressing. In a very kind and serious language, she talks us from both, her preparation and practice as a counselor and her living experiences as the wife of a crossdresser. She sheds a new and important light on the subject of genders, and she shows us that we are still at the beginnings of an important revolution that will change for the best the ways society look at the genders. The first stage was the feminine liberation which took momenta after Second World War and put women in the path to a better fulfillment of their lives. Now, it is the time for men to leave behind their imposed roles and achieve liberation, but those two movements are just steps in the path to the liberation of the total person. The author states that crossdressers are a generation ahead of society in the evolution of the true gender education. I fervently agree, and I think it is an opinion that should be studied. I think the book should be read by any one interested in crossdressing, whether crossdresser or wife, but also and very important, by psychologues and counselors, who should begin to look at the beautiful and important subject of the genders no more as a collection of pathological disorders, but as an exploration towards a better society.
