telogen hair

A hair in the resting stage that is shed at the end of the telogen stage and has a club-shaped hair shaft bulb.

terminal hair

Mature, visible, coarse, pigmented hair.

testicle

The paired male reproductive gland located in the scrotum which produces sperm and the male hormones. Also testis, pl. testes. 

testosterone

A steroid hormone produced primarily in the testes and responsible for the development and maintenance of male secondary sex characteristics. It is also produced synthetically.

thermolysis

The electrolysis method whereby hair destruction occurs from heat (electrocoagulation) produced by high-frequency current.

tombstone

Electrologist's jargon for the hair shaft (keratinized) remnants that sometimes remain in the  hair follicle following treatment.

transdermal

Through, or by way of, the skin. Also, percutaneous.

treatment electrode

The small needle portion of an electrolysis epilator (treatment device) that delivers current to the hair follicle. 

trichiasis

Ingrown eyelashes.  Condition is notable for being the first medical use of electrolysis.
