ON A POWER MACINTOSH:

1.  Somewhere near the bottom of your screen, you will see a little gray shape that looks like a belt buckle. If you click on it, it will expose a belt of small pictures (icons) with an even smaller arrow next to each one.

2.  Go to the monitor icon that has black-and-white checks in the screen. This is where you will adjust the resolution.

3. Click on the icon and HOLD YOUR FINGER DOWN ON THE MOUSE. You will see a menu that lists different choices for screen resolution. They are:

640 x 480
832 x 624
1024 x 768

4. Bring your cursor up to "832 x 624" (or higher resolution) and highlight it. This is the Macintosh version of "800 x 600 pixels."

5. Take your finger off the mouse. The selection has been made.

6.    Restart your computer.
