Unlike its main character, "Transamerica" can't make up its mind what it wants to be. Partly a journey of self-discovery, family drama and road trip adventure, the film also examines the struggle of transgender women in America -- but so lightly and with humor, its emotional impact is diminished.

Workplace Equality Advocacy Organization Responds to Ford's Advertising Policies (Gay Wired)
